Designed and deployed the website for a pediatric physiotherapy practice, helping connect children to care
Project Type: Brand and Web Design
Role: Freelance Web Designer
Tools: Figma, Wix
Duration: 6 months
The Challenge
Context: Pediatric Pelvic Power needed a visual identity and website that could communicate expertise in pediatric pelvic health while feeling warm, welcoming, and approachable to families.
Goal: Create a brand and website that felt professional, trustworthy, approachable, and kid-friendly
The Question
"How do I retain trust in the practice while being approachable to parents and guardians?"
Visual Direction Exploration
Creating the Brand

Crafting the Logo
First Concept

The first concept of the logo was crafted by factoring in the client's idea and making it into a tangible design. The first logo emphasized consistency for integrity, a tagline for context, and an empowering design of the superhero adult and child.
Final Exploration/Ideation

Although the first concept of the logo reflected the practice accurately, it was too visually cluttered and required the "pelvic" word to be removed. The client requested logos that could also be used as merchandise, so I opted to streamline the design by having a central focus and emphasizing the name of the practice.
Transformation Into a Website
Version 1.0

Version 1.0 was visualized with hearts as the main motif, emphasizing care. The website featured the consistent brand color scheme to display integrity and carefully planned design.
Version 1.5

Version 1.5 showed the new logo, establishing the practice's identity. Iconography was implemented for easy navigation, and spacing choices guide the user towards applicable buttons.
Version 2.0

Version 2.0 reduced the cognitive load of the website by reducing unnecessary links/texts, streamlining the logo, and increasing consistency in spacing and size.

Reflection and Learning
UX Writing for Healthcare Services
While working with the stakeholder of the practice, I learned how to effectively communicate for healthcare-related services in my design. Given feedback helped me grow not only as a designer but also as a writer that is sensitive to various groups of people.
Communicating Design Details
In this project, I created a 0->1 experience with little previous design inspiration at my disposal. Asking educated questions, communicating consistently and truthfully, and being open to feedback all were skills that were strengthened by creating this website.
